The challenge
Operations leaders were juggling four tools to schedule, message, and pay shift workers. We needed to consolidate them into a single, opinionated surface that frontline managers could pick up in a single shift.
The solution
A discovery sprint followed by a design system and a React/Node implementation, with realtime presence, push-first messaging, and an audit-friendly scheduling engine.
Short shipped what felt like a year of product in three months — and somehow none of it feels rushed.
